This full-day tour combines the best of Costa Rica’s nature, wildlife, and culture.
We begin with a guided hike of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes in Tenorio Volcano National Park, home to the magical Celeste River (originally Rio Buena Vista). Its crystal-clear waters that turn into a striking turquoise blue make it one of Costa Rica’s most extraordinary natural wonders.
The hike includes visits to the impressive Celeste Waterfall, a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the lush rainforest, and the unique point where the Celeste River meets the Quebrada Agria River, creating a stunning contrast of turquoise and clear waters.
After the hike, we will drive about 15 minutes to a local restaurant for a traditional Costa Rican lunch. Here, you can also enjoy a beautiful butterfly garden and the chance to spot various bird species.
Next, we will take a 1-hour nature walk through secondary trails with great opportunities to see sloths, monkeys, toucans, motmots, and several spectacular frog species, including the iconic red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidryas) and the vibrant blue-jeans poison frog (Oophaga pumilio).
The day concludes with a cultural tour of banana, coffee, sugar cane, and cacao plantations, where you will learn about traditional farming processes and enjoy a tasting of local products.
We then return to your stay.
